Summer camp June 2nd-15th

The first of the summer camps was held in the Moscow region, 42 children attended the camp. The Director and leaders of the camp were all Russian so this presented a challenge for me in daily communication. I had responsibility at the camp for the girl’s health and their general well being. Thankfully we had no big health problems the main difficulty we encountered on a daily basis were the mosquitoes and few people managed to avoid these including myself. Despite their daily persistence everyone enjoyed the time there.

Playground for children in Ryazan

Unique project "Russia Inland", Samaritan's Purs int. and administration of Ryazan city. The children's playground in the central park of city is directed on change of social conditions and bringing of pleasure for the smallest city dwellers. The new game complex consists of three zones for games of children 1-st zone for the smallest 2-nd zone for teenagers and 3-rd zone is an athletic field for basketball and other mobile and power games. Importance of this project that at association of efforts of the interested people and the organizations which with full self-feedback aspire to achievement of objects in view.

A workshop on Project Cycle Management

Project Cycle Management workshop organized by Tearfund was held in Zelenograd, November Moscow Region from 7th - 11th November. More than 20 participants, Tearfund partners and associated agencies working in HIV & AIDS related programmes in Russia, attended the workshop. Russia Inland provides technical and information support for spreading the Gospel in prisons. We have done so by donating a notebook computer with an electronic version of the New Testament installed, for use by prisoners. The participants were provided with team clothing and the notebook computer for use in this prison outreach.

Two employees of the organization " Russia Inland": Dr. Olga Haritonova and nurse Jennifer Carson lead Ultrasound examination of local people. Approximately 60 people had a chance to get survey of their a belly cavity (a liver, bilious bubble, pancreas, kidneys, and spleen), thyroid gland, mammary glands, gynecology ...

A working meeting was held by the doctor of the organization " Russia Inland " and a project group of the Lutheran church (10 people), that included 4 doctors from Saratov, Nizhni Novgorod, Ioshkar Ola, Moscow, experts on narcology and therapists, a minister, whose service is contacted in prisons (Novosibirsk) and pastors of Lutheran church (Moscow, Saratov).

The working meeting was devoted to the social disease, caused by social, economic and sociopolitical conditions. Such diseases as alcoholism, drug addiction, smoking, tuberculosis were discussed and in greater detail, HIV-infection.
