PROPOSAL FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE PROJECT.
In partnership with “Stuff a Stocking”, we invite you to take part in the forthcoming project – Children’s gifts for the Easter holiday. These gifts will be given out to children from poor families, children living in shelters, orphans, and street kids.
Easter is a holiday of hope and sacrificial love. The hard life circumstances of thousands of children of the entire world can be compared with the hardships during Israel's slavery period in Egypt. The Divine love that delivered His people from slavery and much later, raised Jesus up from the dead is able to give hope and love to these children’s hearts though these gifts.
Each gift is given to a child with love along with the message of the Gospel. The gift is designed as an Easter basket, which will be filled with Easter cake, a Children's Bible, a toy, school supplies and hygiene supplies. As usual, all these things are packed into the basket according the needs of the recipients.
The mission trip takes place 1-7 May 2005. Along with distribution of gifts, during 7 days the team learns more about some ancient Russian towns, including national local culture in the big cities and in the country towns and villages.
The general part of the project is fellowship with the kids, being at orphanages, shelters, rehabilitation centers and with homeless ones.
Participation in the mission trip is a unique opportunity to enrich ones’ spiritual experience and to directly participate in helping people, to see grateful persons to whom a hand is directed and how Christ’s love changes them through the good deeds of caring people.
If you cannot participate in the mission trip yourself, you may designate other volunteers who could go in your place.
Participation in the project:
· - Donation for Children’s Easter gift $30
· - Donation for publishing a children's colorful Bible $5
· - Personal participation in the mission trip to distribute the gifts* $1’410

* The cost includes: accommodation, transfer, 3 meals a day, and excursion. The cost does not include flight and museums
Dates:
This year the mission trip is scheduled for 1-7 May 2005.
The dates are preliminary and will be firmed up later.
